Astro-Finance
Astro-Finance in AstroClock translates planetary patterns into two layers of actionable context: your personal risk timing and the collective market climate. It does not predict prices; it frames psychological risk conditions that tend to correlate with expansion, caution, clarity, confusion, volatility, or stability.
Engine: Swiss Ephemeris • Works offline via WebAssembly • Supports Tropical, Sidereal, and True Sidereal zodiacs.
The two layers
1) Personal — Risk & Action Weather (Transit→Natal)
This is your individual timing: how today’s sky interacts with your natal chart. In the app, you’ll see it under 3.2 Risk & Action Weather — for example: 3.2.1 Money risk with an Opportunity and Judgment score and concise rules (e.g., “⛔ Avoid money risk • no chasing • no doubling • avoid impulse spending”).
- Opportunity: tailwind potential for progress if used wisely.
- Judgment: clarity vs. fogginess; low judgment calls for caution even if opportunity is high.
- Rules: simple guardrails derived from your score mix and active transits.
2) Collective — Zeitgeist Risk Climate (Transit→Transit)
This is the macro “weather” — the background energy shared by everyone, shown under 5.3 Zeitgeist risk climate, including 5.3.1 Markets and 5.3.2 Geopolitics. It uses only transit→transit aspects to generate a market sentiment score and a short‑term tendency (1h, 6h, 12h). Supportive signals (e.g., Venus △ Jupiter) may indicate optimism or liquidity; caution signals (e.g., Sun □ Uranus) may indicate disruption or volatility.
How scores are built (high level)
- Aspect archetypes: Conjunction, Sextile, Square, Trine, Opposition with tuned weights.
- Harmonic polarity: Benefic harmonics (e.g., Venus/Jupiter trines) vs. malefic/frictional patterns (e.g., Sun □ Uranus) shape the net score.
- Orb sensitivity: Tight orbs receive stronger weighting; wider orbs fade.
- Phase/tendency: ↑ strengthening, ↓ dissolving — shown near each active aspect.
- Retrogrades: Modify the expression (review, delay, inward pressure).
Personal layer additionally factors your natal houses, rulers, dignity/condition, and relevant natal aspects.
How to read it — quickly
- If Opportunity ↑ and Judgment ↓: Favor preparation over action; keep risk small.
- If Opportunity ↑ and Judgment ↑: Greenest window; act methodically, avoid euphoria.
- If Opportunity ↓ and Judgment ↑: Good for cleanup, research, hedging, risk reduction.
- If both ↓: Step back; rest, review, and plan.
Combine layers: a supportive Markets climate can boost participation, but your Money risk may still be “no-go” if your personal judgment is low. Personal timing overrides collective mood for decision‑making.
Examples aligned with the app
Personal (3.2 Risk & Action Weather)
- Opportunity: +6 (Strong tailwind)
- Judgment: -2 (Foggy)
- Guidance: ⛔ Avoid money risk — no chasing, no doubling, avoid impulse spending.
- Why: Specific transit→natal factors (e.g., Jupiter over Ascendant sign; Neptune oppositions) create optimism with potential overreach or confusion.
Collective (5.3 Zeitgeist risk climate)
- Score: +12 with short‑term tendency (e.g., “→ 1h ▼ 6h ▼ 12h”).
- Supportive signals: Venus △ Jupiter; Saturn ⚹ Uranus.
- Caution signals: Saturn ☌ Neptune; Sun □ Uranus.
- Interpretation: Net optimism with structural support, but watch surprise or confusion spikes.
Best‑practice use
- Separate layers: Check Markets for mood, then confirm your Money risk for timing.
- Size to clarity: Position sizing scales with Judgment, not with hype.
- Rules first: Respect the red flags: no chasing, no doubling, avoid irreversible decisions on low‑clarity days.
- Journal: Note outcomes vs. signals; refine your personal response patterns.
- Non‑deterministic: Signals are context, not certainties; fundamentals and risk management still rule.
