Zodiac systems

Choose the model you prefer: Tropical, Sidereal (KP/Lahiri), or True Sidereal (MTZ midpoint).

Tropical

Tropical aligns signs to the seasonal cycle (equinoxes/solstices). The zodiac starts at the March equinox (0° Aries), emphasizing seasonal symbolism.

Sidereal (Lahiri / KP)

Sidereal anchors to the fixed stars via an ayanāṃśa (precession offset). Lahiri is widely used; KP is a close variant. See Tropical vs Sidereal.

True Sidereal (MTZ midpoint)

True Sidereal uses midpoint boundaries between constellations rather than equal 30° signs, reflecting varying constellation spans. See True Sidereal explained.
